Jan-Erik began his career working in hotels learning his trade in both Munich and Dusseldorf Germany for Hilton Hotels, eventually moving from Catering into a Regional Sales role with Bacardi based out of their office in Dusseldorf. He was later head hunted by Pommery Champagne as their National Sales & Marketing Manger where he worked to develop the Pommery brand throughout Germany. He was then moved to London in early 1998 to head up the Pommery brand in the UK. This is where he first began his work within the UK polo market, running Pommery's first high goal team where he was able to make Pommery the champagne of Polo in three short years and managed an unprecedented growth of more than 45% in cases sold throughout the trade in the UK.

After his success with a multinational brand and mainly due to his love of polo and seeing the long term of the sport, he joined the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club where he, within a very short space of time, increased their annual corporate funding to in excess of £120,000.

He started mig International in 2004 to further develop the sport of polo by working with multiple clubs and multinational brands coming into the UK polo market.
